Pool Rummy at 662 is a skill game. The cards you're dealt matter, but how you play them matters more. Here are some practical tips that experienced 662 players use to stay in the game longer and win more consistently.
The most important rule in Pool Rummy at 662 is to form your pure sequence first. A pure sequence — three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, with no joker — is mandatory for a valid declaration. Without it, your hand cannot be declared valid no matter how well the rest of your cards are arranged. Every experienced 662 player prioritises the pure sequence above everything else in the early rounds.
Jokers are your most valuable cards in Pool Rummy at 662. Use them to complete impure sequences or sets, but never use a joker in your pure sequence — that defeats the purpose.
